I'm liking the composition of the glass, but I think the female figure throws it off a bit, seems too out of place...

I would have like to have seen it drawn/painted directly onto the wood and perhaps thought about a more dynamic pose because the contrast between the hair and somewhat static figure clashes slightly with the curve and dynamism on the glass

but it's good to see some more mixed media, I've never really experimented in such a way..

is there any deeper context to the piece, or just for shits n giggles? Smiley

no deeper context....and the overall composition was kinda cobbled together....I agree that the female figure seems out of place.

I had a sketch and ended up pasting it onto this blue background and letting it sit for a while.  decided to add the glass when I found a big pile of it along the train tracks.

I think that I'll continue developing this idea and definitely take your considerations in mind in the process.  but yeah as a whole I'm still not really satisfied with this panel.
