I write, because I need to shout and scream and let people know how I feel. If the things I say are ambiguous or not very clear it's because I need to find a way to get them out but still not be understood. It's indulgent actually. I'm thinking of breaking the habit.

I write because my inner god is sending the world messages, and I am his only messenger.  Albeit my inner god is a sadistic pervert, but whose god isn't?  I find redemption best achieved through violence.

i am my own inner god and i force me to do things... very bad things.  and then write about them.

my books are really just diaries.

My god doesn't tempt me with poisonous fruit...just slightly toxic potions to get me by.

I would never write for redemption - for others maybe - but never myself.  If your writing brings others to their knees the job is done. Bowie did a track on Station to Station called Word on a Wing in some vain attempt to duet with God. It was at that point I went off him. Sanctimonious t**t.

So you're saying you're the opposite of JD?

Neither opposite nor apposite. Just intrigued as to what the flip is goin' on inside his lil' ol' he-ad is all.

I wonder if it'll become a newly recognised medical condition for reclusive writers reclusivitis or Salinger Syndrome.

From everything I've read on him ( and there ain't a great deal) I can only deduce that in his ripe old years he still thinks, acts and views the world as a 1950's teenager. Hanging on to the frayed thread of his bygone innocence.

i'll never have to worry about that--i was born without innocence.

BD-you never have ot answer to anyone for anything if you are you're own god.  try it.   Wink

You are joking. I hope so Dandy. I can redeem you from that misguided mindset followed by thousands over the world with a petit lecture on the history of Christianity that I do . I don't think God wanted anybody guilt ridden...the Church maybe (in the name of Feudal submission)...not God.

no, BD, i have not.  i am intrigued though.

lmfao @ goldie.  that is the way religion is--blame your god when things go wrong.  blame every0one but yourself--at least that's how it was when i was growing up.  "i didn't get that promotion because it wasn't god's will."  etc.
