Yeah but cakes are for eating, and writing is like shitting.

True. You can't really do anything else with cakes.

Yes...I see it didn't stop you wolfing down an entire Battenburg at my house once. Not bad going for a man who claims he doesn't like marzipan.

She's taken the end off this topic (I assume from her brackets). Good thing she didn't say end of topic, or it would be the end of this!

~sews the end back on~

Carry on! Carry on!

Have you truly never had marzipan Vixen....the golden shroud of ground almonds melting gauzily upon your lolling tongue ?

It is very odd never to have tried it. My sister loves the stuff and when she can she'll buy blocks of it and happily eat it on it's own. Between biscuits, cheese and chocolate fingers. I have no idea how she's as skinny as she is. =/

You know I got a whole roll of the stuff as my supermarket was chucking it out and there's something very moorish about it. Interesting that it's comprised from the humble almond. If you did the same to peanuts, hazelnuts or walnuts you simply wouldn't get the same result.

No but peanuts, hazelnuts and almonds have their own spiffy products. Walnut cake, chocolate peanuts and hazelnut yoghurt. Mmmm!

Are we going to get into trouble now?

Grossly off topic. Unworthy of The Mob. Dumped in The Rabble.

Perhaps would have been better for that one in The World? Creative dillydallying or whatever it was?

Now on topic, seeing as I am, you can buy cupcake candles. They look so utterly delicious!

Old uncle Barney used to say to me - "a wedding cake's not a wedding cake unless you can measure the marzipan on it with a six inch rule and the Royal Icing is hard enough to crack your molars..."unless it's a Goth wedding which I attended recently...the bride was adorned like Siousxie Sioux and her husband lay in a coffin after the reception. The cake ? Ah worra cake ? Big as a car tyre. Black icing and black marzipan. The ouijah board session we had later brought more fun and frolics...
