They aren't sacrifices, we just don't fit into the social circle thing anyway.

I agree with Ploe- the only sacrifices we make are when we try to fit into that 'social circle thing'... thats the sort of scrifice that is never worth it.

These are the things I struggle with. Half of the time I want to go live in the woods as a hermit and write, liberated from civilsation... but the rest of the time I want to be normal (whatever that is) and fit in. The placid life of the sheep can be seductive at times, sadly enough.

You all sound a bit pretentious and blind. You talk about not fitting into the social circle. Be specific. What social circle?

One can only assume you mean those of supposed "normal" and "fashionable" people, those who scoff at what they don't understand creating this aura around them that makes others who think differently feel out of sync with the "real world".

Bollocks.

There are many social circles, and they all intermingle like atoms making a molecule! Electrons (that's people incase you can't keep up) whirring between groups as they please or as suits them best.

You talk about not fitting into a social circle. You're all part of them.

In the real world I am an insanely happy person. On here, where everyone spends their time complaining about *everything* it wears me down. People on here seem blind and it makes me angry. I'd rather be churlish and happy in life than a seemingly pretentious wanker who moans all the fucking time....

It seems on here that although there are many amazing people with wonderful lives full of freedoms and friends and laughter, people who have so much talent to boot, there is a lot of complaining. The UD glass is always half empty and cracked and spilling. It's depressing and blind from the wonders out there.

I don't sacrifice much for art besides time.  I try to make art out of my sacrifices.

Well giving over my  time in teaching in edifying young minds like yours to become appreciative of art I suppose and also getting paid for it. Don't know if that's a sacrifice as such. It was my job. Which leads me into starting another thread on this sacrifice twoddle...go back to wilderness header...
